Yoga Teacher at a Beach-front Hostel

*️️️️️️️Currently looking for a June 20th (at the latest) start date and to stay a least 1 month*️️️️️️️

At our long-term hostel, we offer Yoga Classes exclusively for our guests at least 3 days a week, including ashtanga yoga, vinyasa yoga, kundalini yoga, as well as, reiki sessions and sunset meditations. We welcome you to share our space, practicing your yoga asanas in the open-air, with the ocean breeze, while listening to the music of our surroundings: birds chirping and whistling, while the waves break and crash in the background. It truly is as serene as it sounds, but better in person!

The “Job”

This volunteer work includes teaching classes 3 days per week with classes lasting from 60 – 90 minutes long. In exchange for the yoga classes, we provide free accommodation in one of our five rooms. We accept yoga teachers for a minimum of 1 month until as long as you would like to stay, teach, and enjoy our beautiful town of Ayampe!

When you aren’t practicing yoga, you can find yourself sipping fresh coconut water and smoothies, swimming and surfing in the ocean, indulging in a variety of cheap seafood options, and, best of all, when you open our hostel doors you will be greeted with the sand beneath your toes!

A bit about us:

We own a beach-front hostel that only accepts long-term reservations (a 1 week minimum is required) that way our guests can truly immerse themselves in the peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing town of Ayampe, Ecuador. Together, we strive to provide a haven in a foreign country for the traveler who desires their independence and privacy, while still sharing with other travelers.

With lots of comfortable, shared spaces, this is a home-away-from-home for the traveler looking relish in the beauty, authenticity, and tranquility of the Ecuadorian coast. We have a shared kitchen, six private rooms with bathrooms en-suite, and two private suites with private kitchens and a terrace. Residents of the hostel often book a room for 2 weeks, but more often than not, they stay for 3 months, or even sometimes for a year (seriously). We often joke with the guests that they come to Ecuador to see the coast, the Galapagos, and the Amazon, but once they come to Ayampe, they simply never leave. Ayampe may be a small town, but it has its own unique charm that seems to entice travelers, surfers, yogis, and artists from all over the world. We often organize group activities, such as snorkeling, hiking, whale-watching (July-November) and even karaoke. Guests share their cultures over grilled fish in the fire pit or in the surf line-up and become friends amongst the waves. In Ayampe, we become your home and the guests become your family. We look forward to welcoming you to your new home!

We encourage you to immerse yourself in this small, coastal beach town where you can practice your Spanish with locals or take formal Spanish courses, where you can surf twice a day or on lazy days swing in a hammock while watching epic sunsets and drinking a fresh coco, or fish for shrimps in the nearby river and eat bananas that actually taste like bananas, and where you can decompress and leave your stress behind at daily yoga. But most of all, we encourage you to soak up inspiration from the beauty that surrounds you here.
