Podcast Episode #7: The real honest Talk with Jyoti from jyotimurrayyoga.com

My today’s guest is Jyoti with which I had so many magical yoga classes on Bali at The Practice last spring! We’re speaking about cultivating tapas, how she’s practicing her sadhana, how we can bring back mantras & yoga philosophy in our classes, feminine energy and much more! I’m super excited to share this with you – in the hope that you feel inspired and can learn something new – for your self-practice but also teachings.

This podcast is made for you to learn something new, feel inspired and also connect with yoga communities further than just your hometown. So please feel free to share with us in the comments below your takeaways and also if you know someone who inspires you and you would like to hear them in a future episode – please send me an e-mail to aleks@yogatraveljobs.com.

Jyoti is such a mindful teacher – I find her such a great inspiration because she keeps learning and is curious about different kind of philosophies which she brings back in a simple, modern and for me also feminine way into her classes. With her I experienced movements from the Qigong, singing mantras in Shavasana and beautiful tantric pranayamas. If you want to experience her as a teacher and get completely touched and inspired, I recommend you to take her classes (Yin and Hatha) at The Practice in Canggu or dive deeper inside of yourself at her retreat this autumn on Bali. And now head over to her Instagram for more beautiful inspiration – I love her powerful pictures and that actually only little of them contain asanas.

Hi! I’m called Aleks. 2013 I fell in a deep sadness, questioning my whole life and sense of it. I didn’t only discover meditation but also my scariest fears in a very painful relationship. After an offline trip in Brazil and shaking on the train station in Zurich - where everyone seemed stressed out - I felt completely out of place and knew: My inner flow isn't that fast and I can't push myself anymore. Freedom, depth & authenticity is what my soul needed – so I quit my job as Community Manager for Yelp Zurich in 2015, sold all my pretty clothes, went to the city office and just signed out off. It all started by craving a big change, reconnecting back to my intuition and radically honest answering the questions: What do you really want? How do you feel? What can you do to make these changes happen? Today I’m traveling with my love Adam and I keep exploring my inner depths. Love, Aleks
