I am a self confessed tree hugger who spends most of my time being active weather it be hiking swimming in the ocean or falling on my back trying to achieve the perfect hand stand.
I began practicing yoga 12 years ago as a way to stretch after my vigorous hours as a contemporary ballet dancer. After an accident that prevented me from continuing dance. Yoga became my calling in life to help people with depression and anxiety. Helping to ease the darkness with tools of mindfulness and traditional teachings from the Bhagavad gita.
I was trained and certified in hatha, Ashtanga and meditation in the beautiful city of Rishikesh India for six weeks. And completed my 500hrs in Power Living Bondi Australia.
Learning the traditional and now modern way of yoga with a background in Dance has helped me with creating dynamic, playful and rhythmic Vinyasa class’s witch help increase the hart rate, allowing you to work up a sweat, build strength and increase flexibility.
I also like to incorporate a combination of traditional yogic philosophy as well as indigenous Australian wisdom into classes, resulting in a feeling of connection not only to the self but also to the environment.
I am currently finishing my counselling degree online. My long term goal is to help young adults in the LGBTQIA community battling depression with the teachings of yoga and meditation.
