Yoga has been a part of Katie’s life for over 10 years, during which she has witnessed the good that it can do to relieve stresses on the mind and body. It was for this reason that she decided to do her 200 hours Hatha teacher training in 2016, to be able to then share yoga’s benefits and the joy it provides. Her hope is that you step off the mat feeling revitalised, nourished, balanced and ready to take on fresh new challenges on and off the mat with a positive outlook. There is genuine encouragement and clear instruction, underpinned by a hope that you enjoy your practice.
Within the calm professionalism that she exudes, there is a mindfulness and good humour. She takes time to plan and adapt her style to match your needs and level, providing appropriate options for everyone. Her primary focuses are on building stability in the body and staying safe in each posture whatever stage you are at, rather than reflexive competitiveness, as well as the importance and power of the breath in each pose.
