Description
Mars is an Australian yoga teacher and massage therapist based in Portugal.
Her mission is to spread yogi happy love. Mars loves all things good for you… yoga, massage, nature, food and travel. She also love sharing. Mars is honoured to be a certified yoga teacher and thai yoga massage therapist. Practicing yoga since 2008, she shares what she knows in ashtanga vinyasa, vinyasa flow and yin yoga. Mars has travelled the world extensively to deepen her practice and teaching. An experienced yoga teacher, Mars has taught classes, privates, workshops and retreats in Australia, Thailand and Europe. Her intention is to create a space that allows safe, honest and joyful self-enquiry and transformation. She remains always a student.
Yoga
Mars went to her first yoga class in 2008, and it was love at first sun salutation. Over the last five years she has dedicated herself to the yogic path, trading a demanding corporate job for a journey that has taken her around the world to deepen her practice and teaching.
A dedicated ashtanga vinyasa practitioner, Mars has spent extensive time in Mysore, India to practice with her teacher M.V. Chidananda. She has also studied with Kirsten and Mitchell, Tashi Dawa, Lisa Ogletree, Elise Greenspoon, Surinder Singh, Kamal Singh and Ashish Shama.
Mars teaches vinyasa flow, ashtanga vinyasa and yin yoga. She can lead short meditations, simple pranayama breathing exercises, yoga nidra and partner yoga. Her experience, compassion, openness and deep personal calling to share, allows Mars to deliver fun and creative yoga classes/workshops/events/retreats that deeply connect with students. She teaches, always, from a place of authenticity.
When leading classes Mars uses demonstration, clear alignment based verbal cues, adjustments, modifications, yogic philosophy/themes, mantra singing, music and massage. She has a ‘library of sequences’ in her mind and body that she intuitively reaches for depending on the experience and energy levels of the students in front of her. Mars sees teaching yoga as a gift and is proud to be a part of the global yoga community.

Bodywork
Mars offers thai yoga and oil massage. She has studied in Thailand and India in the disciplines of thai yoga, ayurveda, swedish and reiki. Her style is meditative, allowing the individual to connect with their inner space to heal. When practicing thai yoga, she combines dynamic movements, acupressure, stretching, passive yoga and energy work to allow the body, mind and soul to connect, relax and replenish. Mars sees the practice of thai yoga as a prayer in motion. Her oil massage is a unique bodywork experience, rooted in ayurveda. She interweaves traditional ayurvedic massage techniques with intuitive touch, swedish massage and reiki, tailoring each session to the individual. People say the precise and earthly quality of Mars’ touch generates an immediate trust to surrender and let go.
