Description
Let me introduce a little bit about me, originally from Toronto, Canada I moved to Portugal about two years ago. Since then I have been working at a yoga and surf retreat as one of the head yoga teachers in Cascais.
I am now freelancing and working with different studios as well as teaching at my home private workshops and classes. I obtained my teaching certificate in Mysore, India as I lived there on and off for a year. Since then I have travelled and worked in many areas around the world doing what I absolutely know is my passion and love.
I love to travel and learn from new experiences and new interactions with energy. I believer we should always keep expanding to our book of knowledge and for me that’s the most humbling part of this journey. I have been blessed to have been taught by some amazing teachers around the world. I have also learned an incredible amount from my students over the years of teaching. I have held space for large groups in the retreat setting 30 + and small one on ones. I also provide guided meditations and work with energy healing. I’ve been holding space for people going through many different transitions in their lives, in a group setting as well as privately to work with them releasing energy and fear trapped in the body.
I’m looking for a new experience to embark on and work with new spaces to grow even deeper as a teacher. I have European roots which is very helpful when it came to moving my entire life to Portugal therefore I already hold a European passport. I’m easily adaptable to my environment, I like to keep things real and light using my sense of humor to guide me in more challenging times. I look forward to hearing back any questions you may have for me. Regarding my style of teaching I teach Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and guided meditations. I have over five years of teaching experience and I am knowledgeable when it comes to beginner mindset as well as working with those recovering from injuries. I am a true believer in tapping into the power of our breath and using the mind body connection to heal from within. Once we have a space to open up and feel safe the inner work from yoga is able to grow and expand out of us.
