We are recruiting an experienced and capable Chef & Kitchen Manager to train and manage staff in our new health food cafe. The right candidate will have proven experience managing and training kitchen staff, stock ordering and creating healthy vegetarian and vegan catering menus for retreats. The job is based on the quiet island of Koh Yao Noi. Recently voted one of the 6 Most Wild & Beautiful Places in the World to Practise Yoga by the National Geographic, this island provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of big city life. Differing from the expectation of Thailand, the majority of inhabitants here are Muslim which gives the island a distinctive feel. There are no full moon parties and buckets here - it is very quiet and local island life here surrounded by nature. We are looking for someone who is confident and with good people skills as you will be coordinating both with local staff; so need to train them up to understand the benefits of the healthy cuisine we want to offer our retreat guests, plus our owner and management team to help develop our catering offering for visiting retreats. You must be patient and highly adaptable. This will be a paid opportunity with working visa provided for the right candidate. Please provide a CV, covering letter and references for consideration.
