This is a unique and exciting opportunity. We are seeking an, experienced, friendly, professional, well-organized and dynamic Front Office Manager to join our growing team.
In this position, you will be responsible for the overall management of the operation of the Front Office Department. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring that guests experience maximum satisfaction whilst presenting an excellent positive image of the retreat that leaves a lasting impression.
The core duties are to manage the day to day running of the front office departments at the retreat to ensure efficient and smooth operations for producing excellent feedback and guest satisfaction. Always responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests by providing accurate and timely information and services.
You will also help with decision making, and accountability so that staff know where to direct their questions, problems, and complaints.
Some of the Front Office Managers’ Duties and Responsibilities
•Take full ownership of overseeing bookings and enquires, ensuring the checking and responding to emails in a prompt and effective manner
•Monitor revenue, enquiries and sales continuously, to identify opportunities and any areas of concern to build a strategic approach to maximise the retreats revenue
•Oversee and develop the reception team.
•Making decisions and solving problems – analysing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution
•Keep the Manager(s) promptly and fully informed of all issues (i.e. problems, unusual matters of significance and positive events) and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action.
•Producing regular statistics with the aim to improve and enhance these activities.
•Undertaking regular analysis of enquiries, bookings and reservations.
•As a Manager you will be a role model, sharing your expertise and continually inspiring the Front Office team.
Duty Manager Requirements
•Experience of motivating, managing and leading a team.
•Ability to remain calm whilst under pressure.
•Knowledge of hotel Property Management Systems is required.
•A positive attitude and excellent communication skills
•Significant work experience handling guest service responsibilities, preferably in a hotel/retreat setting
•Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and all other relevant computer programs
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Spanish and English
•Fluent in English
•Proactive approach to dealing with issues that may arise
•Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize and work under pressure
The expectation is that the role is very hands-on role and a warm professional attitude is always prevalent.
Salary in the range of 19,000€ to 20,000€ per annum (depending upon experience). Straight shifts only.
